Positive: Lovely apartment in an old building. Great location, lovely big bathroom and storage in the main bedroom, limited storage in 2nd bedroom.
Negative: Can hear the trains in the morning. 2nd room doesn’t have a ceiling in the living room.

Positive: The location was perfect for us, close to some wonderful restaurants
Negative: It's not ideal that the keys/fob are not located at the premises on Spencer Street when checking in and then returning when checking out, we had to walk to Collins Street with our luggage to the Ezymart to collect/drop off, also not a fan of emptying all the bins before checkout.

Positive: Location was great. Apart from the trains very close by. Decent kitchen and good size overall.
Negative: 2nd bedroom not private enough. Walls didn't reach ceiling. Very cold apartment. We all had to live out of suitcases as there was barely any storage space to hang up or put away clothes. Chairs around dining table were constantly peeling. Door under sink was hanging off. Lastly we hired apartment due to being on ground floor. However we only found out day before that parking is one level up and not reachable by lift. As my Husband has heart failure this made going up and down stairs to access the car a constant issue.

Positive: Location was great for what we needed, really easy to use the trams and trains and not far from places to eat. Size of the apartment is fantastic and meant we didn't feel cramped. Read the instructions on how to get the keys & to the apartment before you get there! The host provide detailed instructions but if you are not familiar with the area the instructions for getting the keys might be a little confusing and I felt that the instructions for the apartment assumed you came in a certain entrance (but that might just be me) and really only made sense from that entrance. If you are facing the building you want the right most entrance - then all of their instructions make perfect sense. Loved that they had fiction books available and lots of tourist information if you need it.
Negative: The keys are stored off site which is fine - we had the instructions so knew what to expect but you need to know to ask at the location for the keys, I finally asked out of frustration but would have been good to know I needed to ask. Also when I dropped the keys back to the location the person who took them was very casual about it and I didn't have to sign anything so I left with a slight nagging feeling that I wouldn't be able to prove I dropped the keys back. This is more a reflection of the people at the key pick up/drop off location - not the hosts or the apartment. Also with the keys and the apartment being a different locations if you are arriving at night like we did - we had to decide whether to leave one person at the apartment entrance ie outside or for both of us to go and get the keys with our suitcases and then go back to the apartment. Just something to be aware of but it's still a great apartment.
